Shree Cement Kota Cup
Jaipur, 01 February: On the second day of the Shree Cement Kota Cup Tournament (6 Goals) witnessed two encounters between Union Polo Team with Spot On Polo Team and Power Soft/ Polo Factory with Polywood at the Rajasthan Polo Club ground.
During the first one sided game, Union Polo Team won by whopping seven goals in the final score of 9 – 2. The scorers for the winning team were Abhimanyu Pathak, who scored 6 goals — three goals in first chukker, two goals in second and one goal in third chukker whereas Pranav Kapur scored two goals each in second and third chukkers. HH Maharaja Padmnabh Singh scored one goal in fourth chukker. The other team member was Luke Norris. The Spot On Polo Team was not able to score any goal. They got an advantage of a two goals owing to less handicap players vis-à-vis the Union Polo Team. The team members were Dhananjay Singh, Lokendra Singh, Vishvendra Rajawat and Vicky Nihalani.
In the second highly competitive game between Polywood and Power Soft/ Polo Factory — Polywood won the match by one goal in the final score of 7 – 6. The main scorers for the winning team were Bhawani Kalvi, who scored Three goals with all three goals in third chukker. Bhanwar Janmajai Singh and Sidhant Sharma both scored two goals — in first and third chukkers & fourth and fifth chukkers, respectively. The other team member was Digvijay Dhabariya. Power Soft/ Polo Factory team could manage 6 goals with Tarun Bilwal scoring 3 goals, all in third chukker. Vishal Singh also scored 3 goals, one each in first, third and fourth chukker. The other team members were Pratap Kanota and Ranshay Purohit .
The Honorary Secretary of the Rajasthan Polo Club, Mr. Digvijay Singh informed that tomorrow will be a day off. On Friday (03 February) there will be two matches for the Shree Cement Kota Cup (6 goal) — between Power Soft/ Polo Factory with Spot On Polo Team at 2.00 pm and Union Polo Team with Polywood at 3.30 pm at the Rajasthan Polo Club ground.
