Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari has urged to double the salary of health workers, police personnel, safai karamcharis, electricity and water department workers as well as teachers. In a tweet she stated that all employees are engaged in the service of the country just like soldiers. These employees, who are involved in fighting Coronavirus (COVID-19), are also at risk of infection all the time. The service and courage of innumerable Corona warriors of the State is truly remarkable, she said.
MP Diya Kumari expressed her satisfaction at Haryana Chief Minister, ML Khattar’s historic decision to double the salary of all the health workers fighting against Coronavirus.
The MP said that apart from the above category of employees, print and electronic media workers associated with journalism are also fighting the battle against the Coronavirus with full zeal and enthusiasm. In times like these, the Government and public share a collective responsibility to protect them. In such a situation, the State Government should provide insurance of up to Rs. 50 lakhs for all media personnel as well.
