Press Release

As a part of its weekend cultural activities, Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) will witness the staging of the play ‘Eklavya’ on Friday (29 December). Directed by Rajkumar Rajak, the play is an endeavour towards the direction of establishing a thread of dialogue from past to present time. The play will be staged at Rangayan at 6.30 pm.

Director Rajkumar Rajak says: “To some extent, a small part of the play is influenced by Mahabharata of Ved Vyasa. The play ‘Eklavya’ opens a dialogue on the conventional, lifeless education system and conservative teachers. It exposes the character of tradition and dogmas and attacks Rishi Manu’s fort of morality.”
