Manipal University Jaipur has organised the second ‘Startup Mela’. More than 8,000 new ideas will be discussed in the event. Managing Partner, CoCreate Ventures Bengaluru, Mr. Suresh Narasimha graced the program as the Chief Guest. President, Manipal University Jaipur, Prof. G.K. Prabhu; Pro-President, Dr Thammaiah CS; Registrar, Dr Nitu Bhatnagar, Executive Director, Atal Incubation Centre, Manipal University, Prof. Amit Soni; and the Head, E-Cell, Dr Ravi Sharma, lit the lamp with the chief guest to inaugurate the program.

During the program, President, Manipal University Jaipur, Prof. G.K. Prabhu, highlighted the importance of startups while shedding light on the life journey of Dr T.M.A. Pai. He said that Dr Pai started the first private medical college in the country by working on new ideas. In the same vein, Dr Pai also started Syndicate Bank for the benefit of local fishermen. He said that many times new ideas do not work, but one should not give up. You should develop your ideas and make them worthy of earning money. Manipal University Jaipur is doing everything possible to encourage new ideas.

Chief Guest, Mr. Suresh Narasimha said that entrepreneurship and innovation have been encouraged in India from the beginning. The trend of unicorn companies is growing fastest in India. Currently, there is capital, market, and energy available in the country, which can promote startups. He advised young people that to get good startup ideas, it is very important to be a good reader, work in a club without profit, and be connected to local culture.

Pro-President, Dr Thammaiah CS said that entrepreneurship is now being highly praised in the country, putting young people in the category of job givers instead of job seekers. New ideas are being given special attention in both the Government and private sectors. The startup ecosystem is also being promoted at Manipal University Jaipur. Earlier, Executive Director, Atal Incubation Centre, Manipal University Jaipur, Prof. Amit Soni welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of the program. Head, the E-Cell, Dr Ravi Sharma, expressed gratitude.
