Press Release

Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari has sent a letter to the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan appealing for the issue  of appropriate guidelines for sale of the Rabi crop. Farmers in the Rajsamand Parliamentary constituency are facing problems in the sale of wheat due to  the Corona pandemic as well as the rain and hailstorm.

In the letter, MP Diya Kumari said that due to the delay in the harvesting of the crop, there is a decrease in the shine of the wheat. Farmers are being refused crop endorsement at Minimum Support Price Centers for such quality of wheat. Therefore, this wheat cannot be purchased in the absence of clear instructions.

The MP said that keeping in mind the problems faced by the farmers, the Government should issue specific guidelines for the endorsement of the minimum support price for the purchase of such wheat. MP Diya Kumari has also informed the Secretary, Ministry of Food and Public Distribution in this regard.
