Press Release

Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari said that the Modi Government is firm on its development agenda despite the Corona crisis. Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari has fulfilled the announcement made during the budget session. The Ras-Babra-Roopnagar-Jawaja-Asind-Mandal route also known as National Highway 158 has been given a two-lane clearance. A total cost of Rs. 412 crores has been approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways from the World Bank Fund. At present, 87 kilometres have been approved.

The project, which will be completed by 2023, has received the two-lane sanction under the ‘Green National Highway Corridor Project’ funded by the World Bank. MP Diya Kumari said that while this ambitious scheme will establish new dimensions of development, the general public will be able to save time and find traffic convenient. It is to be recalled that she had raised a demand for this sanction in the Parliament and had even met the Union Minister.
