Around of 50 tour operators from almost all States of India including Union Territories left today morning from Spice Court for a Familiarization (FAM) Tour to various circuits in Rajasthan. These tour operators had participated in the just concluded 3-day Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM).The objective is to showcase the state as a preferred tourist destination. This will enable the tour operators to market these properties more effectively to the tourists and visitors. This was informed by the President, Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR), Mr. Bhim Singh.

The visit of the tour operators has been organized by FHTR along with the Department of Tourism. The group has opted for different tour packages which will take them to various circuits such as—Bundi-Chittorgarh-Udaipur; Mandawa-Bikaner-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur; Alwar-Bharatpur-Ranthambhore; and Pushkar-Jodhpur-Ranakpur-Kumbhalgarh-Udaipur.  This was informed by Executive Member, FHTR, Mr. Mohan Singh.

Mr. Singh further added that during their visit they will have the opportunity to visit various monuments and tourist sites of Rajasthan. These destinations have been chosen keeping in mind their huge tourism potential so that they may be promoted throughout the country.

It is to be recalled that the first-ever RDTM was organized by FHTR. It was supported by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and host partner State, Rajasthan. RDTM was also supported by numerous industry associations of Rajasthan like – Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) and National Associations like – IATO, ADTOI, TAAI, TAFI, ATOAI, ICPB, ETAA.
