Jaipur, 20 November: Ahead of the annual theatre festival of Pink City – ‘Au-Jairangam’ which will begin from tomorrow (Monday, 21 November), an award ceremony to felicitate the theatre personas was held today. The Pollywood theatre awards were given at both national as well as state level.
In the awards ceremony both national and state awards for Life Time Contribution in Theatre and for Excellence in Theatre was felicitated. The Life Time Contribution in Theatre – ‘Pollywood Jairangam National Award’ was bagged by Mr. Paresh Rawal and ‘Pollywood Jairangam State Award for Life Time Contribution in Theatre was bagged by Mr. Sabir Khan. For Excellence in Theatre ‘Pollywood Jairangam National Award’ was bagged by Mr. Ranjeet Kapoor and ‘Pollywood Jairangam State Award’ was bagged by Mr. Ajit Singh Palawat
The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Health Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Rajendra Singh Rathore and Principal, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Rajasthan, Mr. KC Jain was the Guest of Honour. Actor and brand ambassador, Au-Jairangam, Mr. Irrfan Khan was also present on the ceremony.
