As an effort to combat the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, two varieties of herbal sanitizers have been prepared by the Research Department of Manipal University Jaipur. Containing more than 75% alcoholic properties, these sanitizers have been prepared by Prof. Lalita Ledwani, Ms. Priyanka Pareek and Ms. Mumal Singh at Manipal University Jaipur. Apart form alcohol, purely herbal ingredients known for their anti-microbial properties, have been used in making these sanitizers. The conventional sanitizers available in the market are made with alcohol and other synthetic ingredients while these herbal sanitizers have no synthetic chemicals added in them.
