Rajasthan Art and Culture Minister, Dr. BD Kalla inaugurated the third edition of the 5 day Art Fiesta at Jawahar Kala Kendra. He also gave away the Life Time Achievement Awards in the event. Dr. Kalla also visited the exhibited stalls and witnessed the diverse art works with great interest and appreciated all the artists.
Dr. Kalla further said that the state government is committed to the encouragement of folk arts and artists. In the past one year, JKK has gained a new identity in terms of its cultural activities. Earlier it was a hub for commercial activities. Without art and literature, the life of human beings is incomplete.
Art Fiesta is being organized by Traditional Art Promotional Society, Delhi and the Art Boss. Both traditional and contemporary art works of various states are being exhibited here. Live demonstrations as well as discussions will also be held at the event every day. Live musical evenings will also be held.
Padmashree Arjun Prajapati, Sudhir Mathur and Sudhir Bakliwal were also present on the occasion.
The Life Time Achievement Awards were presented to sculptor Ram V. Sutar, Miniature Artist Late Vedpal Sharma, Traditional Artist Prithvi Soni and modern artist Sangeeta Gupta.
