Indian Jeweller Magazine announced the winners for JJS-IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards 2019 in a gala awards ceremony held at JECC Convention Hall in Jaipur.

Now celebrating its 9th edition, the prestigious awards ceremony recognizes and honours the outstanding designs by established as well as upcoming designers, manufacturers and retailers, whose works can be inspiration for the many. From biggest and renowned jewellery houses to a budding designer or newly established retailer. IJ Awards highlights only those who are the best in the business.

Every year, IJ Awards is known to be graced by Bollywood celebrities. This year, the celebrity presenter was none other than well-known Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor and TV actor-presenter Sumona Chakravarti and Kiku Sarda. The awards ceremony would not have been complete without the who’s who of the gems and jewellery trade fraternity. The ceremony was graced by eminent personalities Mrs. Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director of GIA in India & Middle-East;  Vimal Chand Surana-Convener JJS; Rajiv Jain-Secretary JJS; Sanjay Kala – President Jaipur Jewellers Association,  Rajiv Arora and many more.

The Grand Jury Meet for the awards was in held in November in Mumbai. From jewellery crafted in emeralds and mother of pearls to stunning Kundan-Meena and polki pieces, the jury witnessed a veritable range of jewellery pieces with beautiful craftsmanship. This year, the jury member included Nirupa Bhatt-Managing Director-GIA India & Middle East; Rajiv Jain, JJS Secretary; Shaheen Abbas, Founder – Shaheen Abbas Fine Jewellery;  Siddharth Sirohi-Co-Founder & Designer (BARO), Ahalya S.-CEO, Kankavalli, Tanishaa Mukerji-Actress, Latika Khanna-Founder & Creative Designer of Latique, Dr. Usha R. Balakrishnan- Cultural Capital Consultant & Jewellery Historian.

Out of the 109 finalist pieces chosen from 600 plus entries across 21 cities of India. 21 pieces has been chosen by the jury at Mumbai.
