Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF) and NIMS University exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) documents for the ‘Swavalamban Kaushal Vikas Training Programme’,  for girls and women. The documents were exchanged between President of PDKF, Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari and the director of NIMS University, Dr. Pankaj Singh in the presence of National General Secretary, ‘Laghu Udhyog Bharti’, Mr. Prakash Chandra.

The participants will receive training free of cost. Over 50 participants ranging from 15 years to 40 years have registered for the programme which begins. They will be provided training for sewing, operating machines, security guard, beautician, motor driving and tourist guide.

On the occasion, Princess Diya Kumari said that this Skill Training Programme will go a long way in making girls and women trained and empowered by becoming gainfully employed. Apart from the above-mentioned six courses, more new courses will be introduced in near future. The idea is not only to train but also to ensure placement of participants or make them self-employed.

Dr. Pankaj Singh citing the example of Malala Yousafzai said that she was the very symbol of courage and confidence. All girls must try their utmost to be trained and skilled to become confident and empowered.

Mr. Prakash Chandra said economic independence for women is a must which such training programmes will provide. Digital training too must be acquired by women and girls.

Also present on the occasion were Executive Trustee of the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, Ms. Rama Datt, Director, PDKF, Ms. Shivina Kumari as well as the participants of the programme.
