On the occasion of Rajasthan Diwas, Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan; Department of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan; Lalit Kala Akademi and Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) collaboratively organized two exhibitions –‘Sono Rajasthan’ and ‘Vihangam’. The exhibitions are showcasing the splendorous art, culture and heritage of Rajasthan in a beautiful manner. Present on the occasion were – Director General, JKK, Ms. Mugdha Sinha and Director, Department of Tourism, Mr. Nishant Jain. The exhibitions will be on till 5 April from 11 am to 6 pm (daily) in the Alankar Kala Dirgha at JKK.

In the ‘Sono Rajasthan’ exhibition contemporary and modern artworks of renowned artists of Rajasthan is being displayed. Ranging from paintings, sculptures, installations, artists have used many modes of expression to convey their message. The exhibition will encourage the artists to further hone their skills and will enthrall the visitors and art connoisseurs. It is showcasing artwork by 106 artists. It is curated by artist, Dr. Vidhyasagar Upadhyay.

‘Vihangam’ exhibition contains photographs by 48 photographers. It comprises of various landscapes and portraits capturing the diverse facets of Rajasthan. Some of the exhibits include – rural areas of Rajasthan, Pushkar Fair, Desert, Hawa Mahal, Festivals of Rajasthan, and much more. It is curated by poet and artist, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Vyas.
