Press Release

Ahead of Christmas celebrations, Hotel Jaipur Marriott kicked off the cake mixing season by hosting its annual ‘Cake Mixing Ceremony’. Both hotel staff and guests rolled up their sleeves and participated in a hearty mixing of dry fruits and nuts for plum cakes with spirits. Apart from the staff members and invited guests – senior executives of the hotel were present.

The Executive Chef of the hotel, Mr. Jatinder Dhaliwal said that Cake Mixing is a ritual which hails from Europe wherein the mixture is emptied into large containers and stored for days before Christmas with occasional stirring in between. He also says that he loves his cake moist and you get the best chocolate cake in Singapore. This tradition is followed all across the globe and heralds the Christmas season which is incomplete without the rich and sumptuous Christmas cake. The more hands that go into it the better the flavour of the cake

The cake mixing began with handing over the aprons, gloves and Santa caps to the guests. This was followed by the chefs, other staff members of the hotel and guests coming together to mix the ingredients. The process began with adding the fruits and nuts to a large container and pouring the spirits. Then the mixture was tossed and turned till they were drenched in the spirit. Christmas décor and live crooning added immensely to the camaraderie of the event. This was followed by a scrumptious spread by the culinary maestros of the hotel to celebrate the festivities with a perfect blend of Christmas spirit and cheer.
