Department of Information Technology, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) organized a two-day ‘Data Science’ Conclave recently. The Conclave was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar (Registrar, Manipal University Jaipur) and Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Rajveer Singh Shekhawat (Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Director, School of Computing, and Information Technology). The motive of this two-day conclave was to make the students learn about data science concepts, applications and career prospects in the data science domain. Various prominent Data Science experts from industry and academia namely Dr. Rajesh Krishnan (Altair, India), Dr. Gayathri Ananthanarayanan (IIT Dharwad), Dr. Praveen Ranjan Srivastava (IIM, Rohtak), Mr. Deepak Batra (HCL Technologies), and Mr. Ashraff Sankanal (Engineering Data Scientist, Altair) attended the Conclave.
On the second day, there were panel discussions by experts from industry and academia as well as Dr. Yashvardhan Sharma (BITS, Pilani), Mr. Subhajit Bhattacharya (Accenture, India), Mr. Sridhar Jonnala (IBM, India) and Mr. Harsh Kumar (Co-founder, AGPHARM Bio Innovations, LLP). The inauguration ceremony was attended by engineering students of MUJ and other Universities. The program was live telecasted on YouTube for the students of prominent schools in Jaipur.
