“TIME HAS COME FOR THE WOMEN TO SPEAK UP AND NOT HIDE THEIR OPINIONS”

– DIYA KUMARI

There’s a strength in every woman which needs to be evoked. The women of our society have been conditioned to keep their thoughts to themselves. They need to speak up and articulate their thoughts. This was stated by MLA, Sawai Madhopur, Princess Diya Kumari. She was speaking at the 2-day HR Conclave held at India International Girls School in Jaipur. The conclave was themed ‘Women and the Workforce: Employment Trends for Women in India’.

Princess Diya Kumari further said that the state of women in the society has come a long way from what it was 20 years ago. Women’s designated role to look after the home and hearth needs to be altered. Men need to realise their place in the society and respect their thoughts, ideas and opinions. Women sometimes forget that they possess the unique characteristics of persuasion and gentleness. These qualities need to be utilised for them to follow their actions through.

Vice Chancellor, IIS University, Mr. Ashok Gupta in his welcome address said that women are a vital component of the society and economy. Even then they are denied regular and fair pay, proper working hours and working conditions. It is important for the women of our society to know their rights. We need to remove gender boundaries in the work area and invite skilled women into the workforce.

Also present on the occasion were – Placement Coordinator, IIS University, Dr. Shivi Saxena; Additional Commissioner, Income Tax, Government of Rajasthan, IRS, Ms. Rolee Agarwal and Registrar, IIS University, Dr. Raakhi Gupta.
