As a part of the ongoing ‘Raza Parv-2021’ organized by Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) and The Raza Foundation, Delhi, Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), ‘Morning Ragas in Dhrupad’ was held in JKK Lawn. The mellifluous musical performance was presented by Rudraveena Ustad Bahauddin Dagar and Dhrupad vocalist, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar. The artistes mesmerised the music lovers of Jaipur and made the programme memorable by performing beautiful compositions of Dhrupad. Also present on the occasion were – Managing Trustee, The Raza Foundation, Mr Ashok Vajpeyi; Additional Director General (Admin.), JKK, Dr Anuradha Gogiya; art and culture expert, Mr Rajesh Vyas and theatre artiste, Mr Ashok Rahi.
During the programme, Rudraveena Ustad Bahauddin Dagar presented ‘Raag Bhairav ‘. In this, he performed ‘Alap Jod Jhala’. This was followed by a composition in Taal Chautal. Pandit Uday Bhawalkar rendered Dhrupad compositions in ‘Raag Hindolam’. In this, he presented Alap and Dhamar. Following this, he performed Alap in ‘Raag Bhairav’. Both artistes were accompanied by Shri Pratap Awad on Pakhawaj and Ipshita on Tanpura.
