The regional cuisine of the Indian state of Rajasthan is being introduced at the food festival of the fifth edition of the annual ‘Sarang: The Festival of India in the Republic of Korea’. Traditional and signature dishes from Rajasthan are being prepared by two chefs from Rajasthan – Mr. Govind Meena (from Dungarpur) and Mr. Gangaram (from Udaipur). Their visit has been sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan.
The festival was inaugurated on Thursday at the Millenium Hilton, Seoul in Korea by the Ambassador of India, Her Excellency Ms Sripriya Ranganathan, Member of Parliament and Sherpa for G-20 and G-7, Mr. Suresh Prabhu as well as other Korean dignitaries. The guests were served a 5 course delicious and authentic Rajasthani meal consisting of Dal, Baati, Choorma, Gatta Curry etc which was greatly appreciated by the Koreans.
