Press Release

The exclusive concept store, The Palace Atelier (TPA) was launched recently at The City Palace in Jaipur in the presence of elite invitees and guests from India and abroad. These included representatives from various iconic fashion brands.

Princess Gauravi Kumari, under whose vision the store has witnessed a transformation, herself gave a walk-through to the esteemed invitees.

The store till now was showcasing only handcrafted products linked to the artifacts displayed in the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. However, now it has a wider repertoire.

Sharing the new vision of The Palace Atelier, Princess Gauravi Kumari said: “The vision is to make it part concept store, part museum store, a retail hotspot that anybody flying into Jaipur must visit. It is a world of beautiful contradictions where past meets future and craft meets modernity. A store where emerging designers will share shelf space with coveted labels.”

It is to be noted that over the recent months, Princess Gauravi Kumari and French Designer Ms. Claire Deroo have embarked on a transformative journey, reimagining every aspect of the Atelier.

Beyond merely renovating and redesigning the physical space, they have infused it with a fresh purpose and vision.

The store now has some of the most interesting brands across apparel, jewellery, and design – without losing its connection with the museum.

These include renowned brands like Anita Dongre, Kanika Goyal, Shanti Banaras, Bhavya Ramesh, Lovebirds and Rkivecity, to name a few.

The Palace Atelier aims to embody the vibrancy and originality of India through its diverse offerings in design, fashion, jewellery, art, and luxury. Serving as a dynamic hub, it provides a glimpse into the evolving landscape of India’s creative and cultural scene.

Each section of the store has unique elements and therefore narrates different stories.

Many of the designers who are stocked at the store, were also present at the launch.

With shimmering candles and vibrant flowers everywhere, the event also offered guests a unique immersive experience in the form of the iconic vintage photographer of Jaipur, Tikkam Chand who captured portraits of the guests with his 100 year old camera.

The store, strategically situated in the first courtyard of the palace complex, will remain open to the public from 10.30 am to 7 pm all seven days of the week.
