Shree Cement Kota Cup

 

Jaipur, 31 December: On the fourth day of the Shree Cement Kota Cup Tournament (6 Goals, Tournament) witnessed two encounters today between Polywood with Shree Ultra Cement’ and Wish Empire with Cavaliers’ at the Cavalry grounds.

 

During the first highly competitive game, Shree Ultra Cement won by just one and a half goal in the final score of 6 – 4 ½. The scorer for the winning team were Tarun Bilwal, who scored one goal each in the first, second and fourth chukkers, as well as Bhupendra Singh who scored in the first, third and fourth chukkers to make 3 goals each for them. Polywood team got an advantage of a half goal owing to less handicap players vis-à-vis the Shree Ultra Cement team. However, they could manage only 4 goals with Fateh Singh scoring 2 goals, one in first and one in fourth chukkers. The other two goals were scored by Ashwani Sharma and Sepoy Hanuman Singh in third and fourth chukkers respectively.

 

In the second game which was one sided between Wish Empire and Cavaliers — Wish Empire won the match by four and a half goal in the final score of 11 – 6 ½. The main scorer for the winning team were Maharaj Narendra Singh, who scored 6 goals with three in first chukker, one in second chukker and two in fourth chukker. Pratap Kanota scored one in first and second chukker as well as two in the third chukkers while Maj. Aman Singh scored one in the first and the other in the third chukker to make a total of 11 goals. Cavaliers team got an advantage of a half goal owing to less handicap players vis-à-vis the they could manage only 6 goals with Maj. Arjun Patil scoring 4 goals, two each in third and fourth chukker and the other goal was scored by Capt. Apurva Dabhaba.

 

The Honorary Secretary of the Rajasthan Polo Club, Mr. Digvijay Singh informed that there will be two games tomorrow for the Shree Cement Kota Cup (6 goal tournament) — between RPC with Bangar Cement at 2.00 pm and Shree Cement with Cavaliers at  3.00 pm at the Cavalry polo ground.
