A Road Safety Seminar on Defensive Driving was recently held at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). The seminar was organized by the Institute of Road Traffic Education in India (IRTE); Department of Automobile Engineering, MUJ as well as a Jaipur based NGO Muskaan.As many as 150 students also took an oath for a safe driving lifestyle on the occasion.
President, IRTE, Dr. Rohit Baluja and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Jaipur, Mr. Ahad Khan delivered a lecture on defensive driving. It was highlighted during the lecture that the automotive population in the country has increased manifold which has led to a rise in road accidents. Thus, the youth needs to be aware of the driving etiquette.
