- Two-day national level Fest to be inaugurated
- 200 + startups, 50 + angel and venture capital investors, 30 + mentors and startup coaches and 50 + speakers
Jaipur, 3 November: The second edition of the “Rajasthan Startup Fest,” will be inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Chairman RIICO, Mr, Umesh Kumar on 5 November at Sitapura-based Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC) in Jaipur.
The national-level two-day fest is being organized by RIICO along with Rajasthan’s leading incubation center, Startup Oasis as co-organizer. CIIE at IIM Ahmedabad is the knowledge partner for the event.
The annual flagship startup event of Rajasthan will bring together startups, mentors, investors and corporates from across India to transact business, pitch for funding, share experiences, get mentoring and showcase innovations. Over 200 plus startups, 50 plus angel and venture capital investors, 30 plus mentors and startup coaches and 50 plus speakers are participating in the event.
The Fest has been planned as a culmination of multiple tracks of scouting, incubation and acceleration of startups covering sectors like Internet, Hardware, Mobile and Social, with a special track for Student Startups. Multiple Demo Days, Pitches and Product Launches will be held on both the days of the event interspersed with high energy interactions, talks, panel discussions and mentoring sessions.
Two special business plan competitions – Ideate UNconvention and Ideate Student Startup Challenge will be the highlight of the Rajasthan Startup Fest. Ideate UNConvention gives a platform for the social startups to present their business plan. Ideate Student Startup Challenge is organized exclusively for students.
The event will include many interesting sessions like ‘Startup Growth – Idea to Scale’, ‘Current Angel and VC Funding’, ‘Challenges of building a social enterprise’ and ‘Making Rajasthan a Hub for Social Enterprises’ on the first day. The second day will witness ‘Stories of Entrepreneurs in Music, Entertainment, Literature & Arts’, ‘Advantages and Challenges of building a Startup from Jaipur’ and ‘Women Entrepreneurship’.
In addition to this, around 50 plus high potential product startups will also showcase their products and business models in the Startup Showcase that will be spread over both the days.
