Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari, has appealed to the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot for a special relief package for the revival of the tourism sector as well as its allied businesses. The entire sector of the State has been affected by the Corona outbreak. The package, she states, in a letter sent today , should also provide for complete tax exemption for all the tourism as well as its affiliated projects. This will benefit those whose livelihoods are directly affected by the pandemic, the MP said.

As a result of which, lakhs of people directly or indirectly source their livelihood from the tourism industry.
Today, the hoteliers, restaurant owners, guides, elephant owners, tour operators , jewellery and textile craftsmen, folk artistes, etc are all in dire trouble . During these trying times , the Government should come up with an appropriate financial package to provide relief . Such a package and measures will help revive the Tourism sector, she said.
