Over 350 children of the Theatre workshop of the Junior Summer Programme staged 9 theatre pieces at JKK on Sunday. The participants presented short plays of various genres which were a befitting conclusion to the month-and-a-half-long theatre workshop. The students were divided into 9 groups on the basis of age and were handled by 22 facilitators.

The plays which were staged included – Jugnoo by Antenna; Fus-Fus by Thappa; Naam Hai Siddhu by Double Battery; Ready, Steady Go by Total Sanskari; Khichik by Panchayat; Kahi Locha Na Ho Jaaye by Chemical Reaction, Friend-Tastic by Speed-Breaker; Kaha Jate Hai Yeh Raaste by Daku and Shah… Zindagi by Laal Batti.

The themes of the plays were based on – environment protection, self-motivation, tales of misfortune, the changing role of summer of vacations, the impact of clicking selfies, pessimism, importance of friendship, Indo-Pak relations, and the race of life. The plays will also be staged again on 18 and 19 June at 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm.

The coordinator for the workshop was Ms. Babita Madan. The other facilitators included – Yogesh, Gaurav, Nidhi, Priti, Lokendra, Kashish, Aditi, Chinmaya, Anuranjan, Tanu, Raju, Devendra, Mansi, Chitrath, Aayushi, Padmaja, Dron, Vishal, Abhishek, Prashant and Ravi.
