Jaipur, 22 January: Three day long National Conference of Central & State/UTs Ministers & Secretaries of Tourism, Culture, Youth Affairs & Sports concluded on 22 jan, 2017 at Village Dhordo , Rann of Kutch. .National conference was represented by Eight member delegation led by Hon’ble Minister of Sports & Youth affairs, Govt. of Rajasthan Sh Gajender Singh Khimsar, Additional Chief Secretary,  Tourism, Art & Culture, Sh Nihal Chand Goel  and officials of Department of Tourism, Art, Culture , Sports & Youth Affairs.

 

The Inaugural Address by Hon’ble Prime Minister was received very well by the audience comprising ten Hon’ble Ministers from the Centre / State Governments, some 125 very senior / senior Officers coming from various States / UT as also other delegates and participants (numbering around 300 in all).

 

Working Groups and the Concurrent Sessions scheduled during the course of the day and would enable the participants to chalk out an Action Plan and Road Map for Culture, Tourism, Youth Affairs and Sports in a holistic way at a pan India level. It would help us realise the goals of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

 

Hon’ble Minister for Sports & Youth affairs said that National Conference organized at the White Rann is indeed a unique effort and a milestone toward synergy between all four participating sectors ,viz a viz,  Tourism, Culture, Youth Affairs & Sports. However, Ministry of Forest and Environment is the missing link as Eco tourism is an important component of Tourism. Additional Chief Secretary ,  Tourism, Art & Culture made presentation on “ Outsourcing Fairs & Festivals “ as one of the two Best Practices shortlisted by the Union Ministry of Tourism, which was recived by a huge round of applause.
