Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) and Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali signed an MoU for possible active collaboration and dealing with possible student internships, conducting of joint workshops, as well as joint research projects by the faculty members.

In this regard, Prof. Amitava Patra, Director, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, (INST) Mohali visited MUJ recently for potential research collaboration. He interacted with MUJ faculty members from the science and engineering domain who are working in the field of chemistry, physics, material science, nanotechnology, environment and energy, and biological sciences along with allied disciplines.

Prof Lalita Ledwani, Dean, Faculty of Science briefed him about the ongoing research work at the University. He also visited different high-end research laboratories and instrumentation centres. Different MUJ research groups shared their research work during an active interactive session for possible active collaboration to strengthen the research fields of common interest. Prof. Patra highlighted the expertise and facilities of INST, Mohali and invited MUJ faculty members to visit the institute and focused on organizing a joint scientific workshop.

Prof. G K Prabhu, President, MUJ extended a warm welcome and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research. He congratulated the faculty members of both the institutes for this successful collaboration. He said that this visit will be beneficial in developing an interdisciplinary research culture between these two institutes and potentially lead the future research of Rajasthan as well as India.
