The ‘Jewellers Wall of Fame’ will be unveiled on 20 December at the Meraaki Kitchen in Jaipur (Ajmer Road). The ‘wall’ is being showcased by The Jaipur Jewellery Design festival which is going to be an integral part of the forthcoming Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) at the JECC beginning on 22 December. This was informed by the Curator, JJDF, Ms. Sonal Sawanshukha. The ‘wall of fame’ is just an indicator of the elaborate exposition of creative designs during the JJS. The festival will feature a creative jewellery installation gallery with over 30 wall displays, she said.

The Convener of JJS, Mr. Vimal Chand Surana said that the festival will play a significant role in creating a network for contemporary design in jewellery. The event will provide an access to exclusive information on design from the industry’s influencers. The Secretary of JJS, Mr. Rajiv Jain, said that JJDF will now be a regular annual feature of the mega jewellery show. The festival will have multiple folds in the form of book launch, bloggers’ meet, seminars, talk shows, artist workshops and idea café.

Spokesperson of JJS, Mr. Ajay Kala said that there are four themes of JJDF all inspired by India. They are: ‘India’s Extraordinary’ (Top league of Indian jewellers); ‘In Love with India’ (International Jewellers with India inspired collection); ‘Indian Innovators’ (Innovative jewellery by Indian jewellers) and ‘Artisans of India’ (Jewellers using Indian arts in their jewellery).

The committee members and wall participants will also be present at the event. The 3-member team of JJDF, apart from Ms. Sawanshukha are Mr. Ankit Lodha and Mr. Nainesh Grover. The event is being held in association with Forever Mark and ARCH Institute.
