Himani Punia from Jaipur won two titles at the Yonex Sunrise Indian Masters Veteran Badminton Championship 2023 held in Goa. In the women’s singles 40+ final, Himani defeated Manisha Singh from Chhattisgarh 21-16, 21-17 to win the gold medal. Meanwhile, in the women’s doubles 40+, Himani teamed up with Nallia Gandhi from Tamil Nadu to win the silver medal. With this double victory, Himani has secured her place in the Indian team for the World Masters Championship to be held in South Korea. Expressing her happiness on this achievement, Himani said, “I am excited to participate in the championship in South Korea. I hope to perform well at the international level as well.”
