The South East Asian Academy of Sleep Medicine (SEAASM) has announced its new Executive and Governing Council. IDr Shivani Swami of Jaipur has been appointed as the secretary of SEAASM. In addition, Dr Rajesh Swarnkar has been made the President and Dr Mahaveer Modi has been appointed as the Vice President.
It is noteworthy that Dr Shivani Swami is currently working as Consultant Pulmonologist at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Jaipur. She is also recognized in the field of sleep medicine and has been a leader in the field for the last 10 years. She was also one of the first few people in the country to be trained in sleep medicine and has more than 300 sleep studies to her credit. Currently running successfully from Jaipur, Power Nidra Sleep Solutions was established in the year 2013 by Dr Shivani Swami.
On the occasion, Dr Shivani Swami said that the work of the South East Asian Academy had slowed down during the Covid epidemic. A new executive committee was elected to take forward the work of the organization. Now with these appointments, the Academy will resume working actively towards its objectives.
