On the occasion of the 291st ‘Jaipur Sthapna Diwas’, Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust (MSMS II) organised various activities and celebrations at the City Palace on Sunday. The Managing Trustee, MSMS II Museum, Princess Diya Kumari paid floral tribute to the photograph of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. She also gave a message to the school children to keep the city clean and to contribute in preserving the heritage and culture of the city. She further added that we should take pride in our city and instil this quality in others.
Executive Trustee, Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust, Ms. Rama Dutt; Director, Mr. Yunus Khimani; Administrator, Col. H.S. Jatrana and Principals of various schools were also present at the celebration.
The programme began with a band performance by the students of M.G.D. Girls’ School, S.V. Public School, St. Anselm’s and Subodh Public School. This was followed by a ‘Quiz on Jaipur’ for the students and tourists. The students of ‘The Palace School’ and Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School also presented a singing performance.
The programme then concluded with a prize and memento distribution by Princess Diya Kumari.
