 India’s leading Travel, Tourism Exhibition & Conclave – India Travel Mart (ITM) is showcasing ‘Glamping’ (glamorous camping) options for travellers. The mysterious desert is an idyllic backdrop for the perfect ‘glamping experience’. One can enjoy dinner under the stars, local cultural evening entertainment by folk dancers on the dunes and relaxing bonfires. This was informed by Chairman and Managing Director, ICM Group, Mr. Ajay Gupta.

Glamping packages are being offered by the ‘Samsara Desert Camp and Resort’ amidst the dunes of the Thar Desert. Each camp is made up of 21 luxury tents furnished with plush king beds, luxe linens and all modern amenities. The brand is also focused on minimal disturbance approach and strive to leave the land as untouched as possible.

‘Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy’ Retreats

Similarly, ‘Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy’ retreats are being offered by ‘Lohagarh For Resort & Spa Jaipur’. Stemming from the roots of hatha yoga, packages are offered in different levels of yoga to balance the mind, body and spirit. Specially designed environments for meditation is also being offered for those interested in enlightenment, self-realisation or ascension during their vacation. Travellers also have the option to opt for naturopathy treatment, where the body gains the ability to heal itself through special vital energy.

Themed Rooms

Many hotels are also making the attempt to rekindle nostalgia and the charm of open spaces through themed rooms. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, ‘Bara Bungalow’ is offering unique boutique home style bungalows that have been specially hand-crafted with minute details offering a glimpse into the local culture and people.

Furthermore, foreign tourism destinations like Oman, Bishkek, Jordan and Almaty are now being popularised by attractive tourist packages.

STATES PAVILIONS PROMOTE DIVERSE TOURISM CIRCUITS AND PACKAGES

Many State pavilions are also participating in the mart and showcasing their tourism products. Gujarat Tourism Board is promoting the desert, hill stations as well as the various festivals of the state. Other than this, tourists can also explore various kinds of tourist offerings of Jammu and Kashmir in terms of MICE, Golf, Medicine, Adventure etc. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is also highlighting the diversified tourism in the State. The heritage sites of Khajuraho, Sanchi, Bhimbetka; the wildlife sites of Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Panna; the pilgrimage sites of Ujjain, Omkareshwar Maheshwar and Amarkantak are being promoted in this area. From the hills, the Himachal Pradesh pavilion is making the visitors aware of the diverse kinds of tourism like medicinal tourism, religious attractions of ‘Shakti Peeths’, paragliding, trekking etc.
