On the 10th day of the 11-day Lokrang Festival of Jawahar Kala Kendra, visitors enjoyed a plethora of colourful folk music and dance performances from different states of the country. On this occasion Art, Literature and Culture Minister Dr. B.D. Kalla was also present. Prominent among the performances were Chari dance from Jaipur, Braj Holi from Bharatpur, Bihu from Assam, Bhangra of Punjab, Siddhi Dhamal of Gujarat, among others. There was a rocking finale performance towards the end of the programme which won the hearts of the audience.
Various folk performances like Oraon and Shikari dance of Jharkhand, Nachar of Punjab, Rauf of Kashmir, etc. were also presented in the Shilpgram area of JKK. Tomorrow (26 December) will also be the last day of the National Handicrafts Fair at Shilpgram.
