In the latest report released by the National Crime Records Bureau, Rajasthan has risen a place higher in the category of crimes. MP Rajsamand and BJP State General Secretary Diya Kumari lashed out at the Congress and said that the Gehlot government has brought glory to the state in the world of crime. This is a worrisome situation.
The MP said that the Rajasthan is the land of heroes and is well known for its religious and cultural values. It is a matter of shame that today the state is becoming famous for crimes such as rape, murder and theft.
Diya Kumari further said that the incidents of rape, especially of minor girls and Dalit women, prove that there is no law and order and good governance in the state. The Congress calls itself Pro-Dalit but most rape victims in the state are also Dalit.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, for every one lakh population of the population, 15.9 rape cases have been registered in Rajasthan. This is higher than other States. At 11.1, Kerala is in the next place after Rajasthan. There is an increase of 7.3 percent in crime against women in 2019 as compared to 2018. With a whopping 554 cases, Rajasthan also has the highest incidence of Dalit women who have been raped
