A round table discussion on ‘Enhancing Quality of Higher Education: Issues and Opportunities’ will be held at Hotel Marriott tomorrow. The discussion is being organised by IIHMR University, Jaipur. The dialogue is aimed at coming up with the way forward to improve the quality of higher education in India in the current global context.
The speakers of the round table discussion will include Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Johns Hopkins University, USA, Dr Sunil Kumar; Chairman IIHMR University, Dr S.D. Gupta; Chairman, Ajit Foundation, Jaipur, Dr. V.S. Vyas as well as renowned Academicians-Chancellors/ Chairpersons and Vice-Chancellors/Presidents of the Universities and Deans/ Directors/ Advisers of the Management/Engineering/Medical Institutes/Universities. The participants will deliberate and share their experience on emerging issues and opportunities to enhance quality of higher education. There will be special focus on the domain areas of management and engineering, globally and locally.
Provost Dr. Sunil Kumar, Johns Hopkins University, USA is the 15th Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is the Chief Academic Officer and second-ranking member of the senior administration, responsible for promoting and coordinating the university’s teaching and research mission. He oversees the university’s nine schools as well as several interdisciplinary programs and academic centres. He has been Dean at Chicago Booth since 2011 and previously was Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
