With an aim to promote night tourism and fitness along with the heritage culture of the city, the 5th edition of ‘CII-NBC Jaipur by Nite Marathon’ was organised in Jaipur on Saturday night. A unique JBN Cyclothon was also organised along with the marathon. Marathon and Cyclothon were flagged off from Jawahar Kala Kendra. 
Principal Secretary Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ms Gayatri Rathore; Chairman, CII Rajasthan, Mr. Gaurav Rungta; Director, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ms Rashmi Sharma; DCP Traffic, Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Prahlad Singh Krishniya; President & CEO, NEI Limited, Mr. Rohit Sabu; Vice Chairman, CII, Mr. Abhinav Banthia and Sr. Director & State Head, CII Rajasthan, Mr. Nitin Gupta flagged off the marathon. The event was organized by CII, Department of Tourism, Art & Culture, Government of Rajasthan and Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK). Additionally, Young Indians (Yi) and CII-Indian Women’s Network Rajasthan (IWN) also supported the initiative.
The program began with a spirited musical performance. During this, a Zumba fitness workshop was also organised, in which people participated enthusiastically. After this, the guests of the program flagged off the cyclothon and marathon. About two thousand runners ran in the marathon. In this edition of the marathon, the runners participated in 10 km and 5 km categories. Each category was further divided into different age groups. Except for the 5 km run, the 10 km marathon was a timed run. While about 100 participants took part in the JBN Cyclothon. The participants in the Cyclothon gave the message of fitness by riding a cycle decorated with lights under the supervision of experts.
It concluded with a prize distribution ceremony in which prizes were distributed to the winners in various categories.
