The State Government will now be celebrating Gandhi Jayanti celebrations till 2 October 2020. This was stated by the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Mr. DB Gupta who was speaking to the media on the sidelines of 150th Gandhi Birth Anniversary celebrations at Hotel Clarks Amer.  He also said that the Government was contemplating creating a cell on ‘Ahimsa’ and ‘Shanti’ – the two inherent beliefs of the Father of the Nation.  Mr. Gupta was the Guest of Honour at the felicitation ceremony organized at Clarks Amer on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the eve of Teachers’ Day and the Founder’s Day of the Clarks Group of Hotels, Mr. Birendra Kumar.

Mr. Gupta said that it was most appropriate that the 7 luminaries in the field of education and social service were being felicitated in the presence of almost 600 teachers. Commenting on experiential teaching , the Chief Secretary said that the Father of the Nation himself was a great believer of this method of teaching. Later he gave away awards to the 7 awardees : Mr. DR Mehta, Mr. RD Singh, Ms. PN Kavoori, Mr. Bunker Roy, Mr. Yogendra Durlabhji, Mr. Ramesh Thanvi and Ms. Avnita Bir. Mr. Anant  Kumar gave the mementos to Mr. Pascol Chazot and Ms. Anju Chazot who conducted the Experiential Learning Session.
The Owner of Clarks Group of Hotels, Mr. Apurv Kumar said that it was indeed the most fitting manner to celebrate the three significant events together. He said he was overwhelmed by the presence of so many teachers who will stand to benefit by the interactive session on Experiential Learning.
A recorded message of Chairman, CBSE, Ms. Anita Karwal on experiential learning was also played for the audience. She said that experiential learning is being introduced as a compulsory pedagogy. Art, Sports and Artificial Intelligence should be integrated with education to build experiences.

In their interactive session, which also witnessed activities, Anju and Pascol said that the tyranny of textbook culture should be done away with. The education should be diverse and inclusive and should use the available resources in the best possible manner.
