‘COLONEL KESARI SINGH KANOTA – THE TIGER’ BOOK TO BE RELEASED ON MAY 18

A book on Colonel Kesari Singh titled ‘Colonel Kesari Singh Kanota- The Tiger’ will be released on Sunday, 18 May at Narayan Niwas in Jaipur. Colonel Kesari lived his entire life for lions, tigers, leopards, an other wild animals and was the Chief Forest Conservator of Kashmir, Gwalior and then Jaipur forests. He saved five cubs of a tigress from dying in 1943 from the Jhalana forest and brought them to his residence and raised them. The author of this book is his son, Thakur Raghunath Singh Kanota.

The foreword for the book has been written by Jodhpur Maharaja Gaj Singh. This book is going to be a new example for today’s wildlife conservation in the old context. Rajasthan Forest Chief, Arijit Banerjee will launch the book.
