A 3-day advanced workshop on Fashion and Portrait photography began at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK)  at Krishnayan. The workshop is being conducted by Celebrity Photographer, Mr. Shiresh R Karrale of Mumbai School of Photography. It is being organized by Jawahar Kala Kendra in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.  On the occasion, Additional Director General (ADG), JKK, Mr. Furkan Khan felicitated Mr. Shiresh R Karrale. 

The workshop began with an introductory session where students interacted with Mr. Karrale and talked about their interests and posed queries. Students were shown presentations of the travel and commercial work done in Mumbai by him.

The celebrity photographer informed that the participants have been divided in 4 groups and will be assigned practical assignments. He informed that the use of reflections, shadows, indoor and outdoor techniques and other important aspects of fashion and portrait photography will be taught during the workshop. The work done by the participants will be showcased on the last day of the workshop. It is to be noted that the workshop will also focus on social messages through photography.

 
It is worth noting that Shiresh R Karrale has done still photography projects for Bollywood movies and TV serials. One of his most prestigious assignments is ‘A View from Heavens’ – a book designed by him and released by the Tourism Department of Goa. He has received several national and international awards as well. Mr. Shiresh has been conducting several photography workshops nationally, dealing in topics of travel, fashion and tabletop photography.
