In an effort to spread awareness for revival and conservation of the iconic Ramgarh Lake, ‘Ramgarh Monsoon Cycle Ride Expedition’ was organised on Sunday. The event was organised under the ‘Strive to Revive Ramgarh Lake’ initiative started by a group of Jaipur citizens. The monsoon cycle ride began from the Secretariat Nursery in C-Scheme, where senior journalist, Jitendra Singh Shekhawat flagged off the ride at 5.15 am. This was informed by the Founder of ‘Strive to Revive Ramgarh Lake’ Campaign, Thakur Dushyant Singh of Naila.
Co-founder of this campaign, Thakur Hemendra Singh Vedsa said that this expedition ride reached Ramgarh Lodge from Galta via Naila village. In Naila village, Naila Sarpanch, Prahlad Mali and in Jamwa Ramgarh, MLA Mahendra Pal Meena welcomed the cyclists and flagged off the ride. On reaching Ramgarh Lodge, General Manager, Jagat Singh welcomed and hosted the cyclists. Thakur Hemendra Singh Vedsa further said that a total of 50 participants of different age groups took part in this cycle ride expedition, which also included the youngest cyclist, 13-year-old Guruman; IFS officer, KC Meena and Deputy SP of Jamwa Ramgarh, Pradeep Goyal. Senior member of ‘Strive to Revive Ramgarh Lake’ campaign, SN Singh said that the ride concluded with tree plantation by participants at Secretariat Nursery.
Rambagh Palace Jaipur, Jaipur Virasat Foundation, MTB Jaipur, Fire Fox, Social Sampark and other institutions supported the event. Rakshat Hooja and Neeraj Chauhan from Jaipur Virasat Foundation were present on this occasion. Trilok Sharma and Indu Gurjar from MTB Jaipur were also present.
