As a part of the forthcoming theatre festival Au-Jairangam
200 street plays will be staged at different locations
Jaipur, 12 November: Ahead of the annual theater festival of Pink City, ‘Au-Jairangam’ a bonanza of Street plays for Jaipurites will be staged from Sunday (13 November). As many as 200 street plays will be staged at different locations of the Pink City between 13 November to 28 November.
Au Jairangam has taken an initiative to create awareness about Eve teasing and other evils of the society. Eve teasing is a huge issue in many metropolitan cities of India. Every woman has either faced it or facing it in public transportation, shopping malls and multiplexes, among others, said President, 3 M Dot Bands, Mr. Narendra Gour.
To throw light upon such evils of the society, street plays will be staged in various locations across the city like Statue Circle, Jawahar Circle, World Trade Park, Triton Mall, Central Park, Saras Parlour, Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Jal Mahal, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Central Park, Amrapali Circle, Crystal Court, Gaurav Tower, Amar Jawan Jyoti, MGF mall,among others. The plays will also be held in schools and colleges like ICG College, Seedling School, Maharani College, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya,JECRC College among others. 30 artistes of Rang Mastaney Group will participate in the street plays.
