The Jayshree Periwal International School, Mahapura, celebrated its 11th annual function and prize distribution ceremony. The program opened with ‘JPites in Symphony’- a rendering of the orchestra that held the audience spellbound with an array of harmonious masterpieces, followed by the welcome address by the Head Boy, Kavin Sharma. The cultural Head Boy, Naman Bansal and the Cultural Head Girl, Pranjal Sharma, spoke about the inspiring journey of the iconic chairperson of the school, Dr Jayshree Periwal.

The student council members presented the Annual Report, accentuating the students’ achievements. In her stimulating speech, Dr Periwal, the chairperson, moved the audience. She stressed the need to continue to aim higher to reach greater horizons and reiterated that she would support and guide each and every student to achieve their goals.

The spectacular show began with the theme dance titled ‘Aladdin’’. The dances exhorted the audience to become more receptive to positive influences. The JPites dancers took the audiences to the fairytale world through these engaging and enchanting presentations.

The dramatic extravaganza, Aladdin, mesmerised the audience. The play which served as a tale that everyone, young and old, resonates with, was well-enacted by the talented JPites. The drama was interspersed with lively dances and soulful music.

The show concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Head Girl, Manvi Devraj, followed by the National Anthem.

The young, talented artists delighted and enthralled the audience. Such shows are a learning experience for the young performers and a vital outlet for channeling their creativity.
