Comprehensive and expert treatment of all types of cancer will now be provided in Durlabhji Institute of Cancer and Research Centre, a centre dedicated to cancer treatment in Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH). Yogendra Durabhji, Secretary, Santokba Durlabhji Trust told that this initiative is a crucial step towards providing complete treatment to cancer patients at one place. With modern techniques and a team of experienced experts in the centre, patients will get state-of-the-art facilities like radio therapy, brachytherapy, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted/immuno therapy, cancer surgery, PET CT scan under one roof. Additionally, facilities of major health schemes like Medical Insurance (TPA), RGHS and Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana will also be available.
In the centre, patients will be provided consultation and treatment under the supervision of a team of experienced cancer specialists like Surgical Oncology, Dr. Sarika Lamba; Medical Oncology, Dr. Neha Rawat; Radiation Oncology, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Singh and Dr. Meenal Iyer and Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Mahendra Acharya. All types of cancer like brain and throat, mouth, tongue, larynx, lung, food pipe, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, intestines and anus cancer, prostate, urinary bladder, bone and muscle, brain, blood cancer, etc. will be treated here.
Along with this, under the initiative of SDMH, with the aim of increasing awareness about cancer and encouraging timely detection, free cancer consultation facility will be available at the centre from 2 June 2 to 7 June (Monday to Saturday), in which second opinion and cancer screening services will be provided by experts.
