Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) organized a ‘Kathak’ presentation directed by the eminent Kathak exponent, Ms. Manjiri Kiran Mahajani, under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.The artistes enthralled the audience with their captivating performance of ‘Kathak’ dance along with various musical dimensions. The participants of the Kathak performances included: Aditi Sharma, Disha Bhatt, Rhythm Khandelwal, Ketki Agarwal, and Anjana Pillay.
The program commenced with Ganesh Vandana and Kirtan. The artistes then presented a performance in Taal Teentaal. The artistes then rendered Raas Pads and Bhajan, among other scintillating performances. The program also had a presentation on Ganraj Rangi – Nartan Rupi Bal Gajanan. It is worth mentioning that Ms Manjiri Mahajani has the rare blend of both dance styles: essence, poise, and grace of Lucknow along with strength and vigour of Jaipur style.
