As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), and the Department of Art and Culture, the Government of Rajasthan jointly organised a musical rendition of Qawwalis — ‘Shaam-e-Qawwali’. The Qawwalis were presented by the Sabri Sufi Brothers Group. The programme was held in Madhyavarti at JKK.
During this, the artistes performed various Qawwalis such as like Hum Sab Ka Malik Ek, Chhap Tilak, Mere Taqdeer Ke Malik Meri Pehchan Likh Dena, Mere Tann Ke Har Hisse Par Hindustan Likh Dena, etc.
The lead singer of the programme was Iqbal Shad Qawwal. He was accompanied by Mohammad Samir, Mohammad Javed, and Mohammad Noushad Sabri. The artistes who played the instruments were Iqbal Ghani on the Banjo, Farhan Hussain on the Dholak, and Darbar Ji on the Baja. The program was directed by Iqbad Shad Qawwal from Ajmer.
