Press Release

Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari on Monday raised issues related to discrepancies in GST in the Lok Sabha under Rule 377 during the Parliament session. Diya Kumari said that GST has helped in unifying the Indian market to a great extent and has led to several important reforms in the tax sector.

The MP, however, raising the concerns of the tax payers before the Parliament, said that no relief in the late fees has been given to the tax payers falling under GST 4, which is why they are still unable to file returns. She urged that the 10% Input Credit Limit and its monthly time period be reviewed and extended to a period of 3 to 6 months.

Diya Kumari further said that similarly, the monthly returns filed under 3-B, since July 2017, have no scope for correction which is creating problems. This will also result in the inability to contribute to the annual tax assessment. Along with this, despite the Finance Minister’s extension to file TRANS-1 till December 2019, the form is still unavailable on the portal
