 Under the auspices of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, on the fifth day of the 11-day Lokrang, the viewers at JKK witnessed an array of cultural performances in Madhyavarti and Shilpgram. The highlights of the day were the ‘Tiger Dance’ of Andhra Pradesh and ‘Manganiyar Balvrinda’ presented by young artistes from Rajasthan at Madhyavarti in JKK.   The spectators were thrilled by the performances of ‘Aangi Gair’ of Rajasthan, ‘Dappu’ of Andhra Pradesh, ‘Lavani’ of Maharashtra, ‘Dhangar’ dance of Goa, ‘Jhumur’ from Assam, ‘Garba’ of Gujarat, ‘Chhau’ dance of West Bengal were performed. The ‘Mayoora Nritham’ of Kerala was also presented on Monday as part of the series, ‘Rhythm of Kerala’ that will be held till 22 December.

Some mesmerizing performances were also held in the Shilpgram area of JKK. Rajasthani performers presented Algoja, Bhapang, Tejaji, Bhopa singing, Sahariya, and Bhavai dance. In addition to this, the ‘Badhai dance’ of Madhya Pradesh, ‘Garagallu’ and ‘Tappeta Gullu’ of Andhra Pradesh, along with ‘Dollu Kunitha’ dance of Karnataka were performed.
