In a program organized in JKK’s Rangayan auditorium on Monday, a translated book and music CD of devotional scripture ‘Shri Guru Bhagvat’ in Rajasthani language was released. This program was organized by Rajasthan Cultural Foundation in collaboration with CBS Cultural Foundation. The original creator and spiritual thinker of Shri Guru Bhagvat, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy was also present on this occasion. National Human Rights Commission Chairman Arun Kumar Mishra (retired judge) was the chief guest.

The program started with the lighting of the lamp. Sunil Kathotia, Managing Trustee, Rajasthan Cultural Foundation welcomed everyone and informed about the activities of the Foundation. A short film on social work being done jointly by Rajasthan Cultural Foundation and CBS Cultural Foundation was also screened. IAS Rajiv Chandra Joshi gave a brief introduction about Shri Guru Bhagwat. After this, the Rajasthani version of Shri Guru Bhagvat and music CD were released by the Chief Guest Arun Kumar Mishra, Dr. Chandrabhanu Satpathy and Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy said that Shri Guru Bhagvat is basically a text composed in poetic Navakshari verse style in Oriya language. Based on the complete Guru Tattva, this book is written in eight volumes in Oriya, which has about 34 thousand lines. In this, various aspects related to the Guru-disciple tradition and many concepts of spirituality have been combined. Among them are the types of guru, distinction, guru-disciple contact, guru worship method, importance of guru service and the guru element contained in Ramayana and Mahabharata. It has been translated into 14 languages so far. Seema Kathotia has translated it into Rajasthani language. The original vocals in the music version are by Mame Khan.

A cultural evening was also organized on the occasion. In this, a melodious performance of Indian classical music and Padharo Mhare Des was presented by Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt. Live presentation of Sri Guru Bhagwat Sangeet was performed by the students of Kinkini Cultural Institute. Apart from these, the famous Ghoomar dance and Bhavai dance of Rajasthan were also presented. The vote of thanks was presented by Manish Sharma.

About Dr. Chandrabhanu Satpathy, the author of ‘Shri Guru Bhagwat’ –

It is noteworthy that the founder President of CBS Cultural Foundation, Dr. Chandrabhanu Satpathy is a 1972 batch IPS, who has retired in the year 2008. He has been propagating Indian philosophy and thought, spirituality and culture all over the world for more than three decades. He has been awarded many national and international awards and honors for his remarkable work. In the year 2015, Dr. Satpathy was given the opportunity to inaugurate the session of the House as a spiritual teacher by the Chief Pastor of the US House of Representatives.
