 With the objective of driving awareness towards social and cultural issues prevalent in society, SBS Welfare Society with support from the Department of Archaeology & Museums, Government of Rajasthan, organized a street play competition  at Hawa Mahal. The theme of the competition was based on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and its acceptance amongst the youth in today’s era.

The play was divided into 4 teams and each team presented a unique perspective on life and issues plaguing the country such as religious intolerance, mental disorder, gender discrimination and violence on women etc. Students from Sanksriti College, St. Wilfreds College, S.S.G. Pareek Girls College, R.N.I Memorial Senior Secondary School and Vinayak Public Senior Secondary School participated in the event. The participants showcased their immense talent, sincerity and dedication through their incredible acting performances, content and relevant messages.

Sanskriti College and R.N.I Memorial Senior Secondary School won the competition and the prize distribution was done by theatre artist, Mr. Anil Bhagwat and writer & poetess, Ms. Mukhar Kavita. Also, present during the event were Director, SBS Welfare Society, Mr. Manoj Kumar Yogi and Superintendent, Hawa Mahal, Ms. Sarojini Chanchlani
