On the occasion of the World Disability Day, ‘Umang’ – the centre for special children in Jaipur and Santokhba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH) on Monday organized a fun-filled morning for the school children at the Shalimar Bagh in the hospital premises.
As many as 185 children from 10 schools created awareness by different activities. The children made posters on the theme of ‘right to vote’ for people with disabilities and our need to be sensitive towards them. Simulation exercises were done which made the children feel and think about the difficulties of people using wheel chair or being visually impaired. Dance performances were also rendered by the students of ‘Umang’ for the staff of SDMH as well as general public.
