As many as 35 students from the Rehmani Model School in Jaipur visited City Palace of Jaipur on 06 December. The children participated in a special guided walkthrough of the Palace along with their teacher. They were shown the weapon collection, paintings, photography and the costume galleries. Following this, they were provided with colours and drawing pads to showcase their creativity and capture what they saw during the walkthrough.
These walkthroughs helped highlight the unique features of the Museum like the tactile aids, galleries and toilets with well-equipped ramp access. Such measures are a step towards the Museum’s unique initiative to enhance sensory access of otherwise visual medium so that the collection can also be accessed by children of special needs.
